Birmingham City have completed the loan capture of 21-year-old Ghanaian winger Ibrahim Osman from Brighton & Hove Albion for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
The Accra-born attacker joins St Andrew’s after Brighton recalled him early from his temporary spell at Ligue 1 side AJ Auxerre, where he made 16 appearances and registered two assists. Osman, a product of the renowned Right to Dream Academy, previously enjoyed a breakthrough stint with Danish club FC Nordsjælland before his £16m move to the Seagulls in 2024.
Despite not yet featuring in the Premier League for Brighton, Osman has built experience across Europe with loans at Feyenoord (22 league games, three goals in 2024/25) and Auxerre. Eager for regular minutes after starting just six of his last 16 Ligue 1 outings, the Ghana international capped three times by the Black Stars will provide attacking depth for manager Chris Davies.
The addition comes as Blues push for a late-season surge toward the Championship play-off spots, with Osman’s pace and flair offering fresh options in the final months. His debut could come soon, though Tuesday’s away trip to Sheffield Wednesday may arrive too quickly for the new arrival to feature.
