Luis Enrique has highlighted the importance of Ousmane Dembele’s pressing following Paris Saint-Germain’s 3–0 victory over Lille on Friday night.
The PSG head coach was speaking after the match in which Dembele scored twice.
[Tribuna.com reports] Luis Enrique explained that Dembele’s work at the start of the opposition’s build-up sets the tone for the entire team during defensive phases.
“He is the first player to apply pressure on the opponent in the way we play,” the Spanish coach said.
Luis Enrique added that PSG’s collective balance depends on Dembele maintaining high standards in his pressing, stressing the importance of discipline within the team’s tactical approach.
