AC Milan have officially confirmed the termination of Divock Origi’s contract, ending the Belgian forward’s time at San Siro.
Origi joined the Rossoneri in the summer of 2022 following Milan’s Scudetto triumph, but his spell in Italy failed to gain momentum.
Injuries and difficulties adapting to Serie A limited his impact, despite scoring two goals that stood out during an otherwise frustrating campaign.
After one season, Origi spent the following year on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he again struggled to make an impression.
He later returned to Milan but was kept away from the first-team project while still under contract.
With six months remaining on his deal, both parties have now agreed to a mutual termination.
In an official statement, the club said:
“AC Milan announces that it has mutually terminated the contract with striker Divock Origi. The Club wishes the player all the best for the future.”
Origi is now a free agent and can look for a new club as he seeks to revive his career away from Milan.
