Cristiano Jr has scored his first-ever goal for Portugal’s Under-16s, following in his legendary father’s footsteps with a composed finish in Antalya.

The 15-year-old opened the scoring in Portugal’s 3-0 win over Wales in the Federations Cup, marking a proud moment for the Ronaldo family.

In the 42nd minute, Carlos Moita played a precise pass through the defence, and Cristiano Jr calmly slotted a low right-footed shot into the far corner. Rafael Cabral added two more goals to secure the victory but all eyes were on the young forward’s breakthrough.

Cristiano Jr, affectionately known as Cristianinho, has trained at academies of Real Madrid and Juventus, and now plays for Al-Nassr’s youth setup in Saudi Arabia, where his father continues to dominate in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo has often praised his son’s drive, saying: “He’s very competitive, like me when I was young, and he doesn’t like to lose. I don’t make big pressure; he already has pressure being the son of Cristiano.”

Earlier this year, the teenager impressed for Portugal’s U15s, scoring twice in the Vlatko Markovic Tournament final against Croatia.

While his son made headlines in Turkey, Ronaldo Sr. was once again decisive for Al-Nassr scoring twice, including a last-minute penalty, in a 2-1 win over Al-Feiha.

It was a symbolic night for the Ronaldo family father and son both finding the net within hours of each other, as one continues to build his legacy and the other begins his own.

Portugal U16s will next face England on November 4.
