Speaking to talkSPORT Bet, Goodman highlighted how Wrexham have turned a difficult start into a positive run. “They’ve gone from losing three of the first five games to being unbeaten in their last four against decent opponents — that’s progress,” he said.
He praised Parkinson for finding a more settled lineup, noting that “they’re unchanged in the last two and only Callum Doyle dropped out from the team that beat Norwich.” Goodman added that returning injured players and improving fitness levels among new signings were helping the squad adapt to the manager’s system.

DEFENSIVE SOLIDITY RETURNING
Goodman pointed to a clear defensive improvement — an area long seen as part of Parkinson’s DNA. “In the last three games, they’ve only given up two big chances,” he explained. “In the two games before that, it was eight. That’s a big sign of progress.”
He credited the team for becoming “hard to play against and hard to beat,” but cautioned that maintaining focus will be key to survival. “They can’t rest on their laurels. This league, if you do, will chew you up and spit you out.”
