Erling Haaland has offered rare insight into his personal life, revealing details about his relationship with girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen. The Manchester City striker confirmed the pair, who met at Norwegian club Bryne, welcomed their first child together in December 2024.
Haaland said it was Johansen, also a footballer, who first messaged him: “She was the one who checked me out. I wasn’t the one who checked her out.”

The couple enjoy simple downtime away from football, including playing Minecraft, cooking, and ordering kebabs when back home in Bryne.
Haaland joked: “This will probably sound embarrassing to her, but we play Minecraft together. We build houses and all that. Or we go home to Bryne and order kebabs.”
The Norwegian forward has long admitted his love of kebabs and video games, though he rarely discloses his favourites. His fondness for both resurfaced in the NRK interview, which also touched on his adjustment to fatherhood.
