Lazio grabbed a vital three points with a clinical 3-0 victory over Genoa at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, overcoming an injury crisis and soaking up heavy pressure from the hosts.
The visitors struck early when Taty Castellanos threaded a superb pass to Matteo Cancellieri, who curled a brilliant finish past keeper Nicola Leali to give Lazio a 1-0 lead.

Genoa responded with a spell of pressure and several half-chances, but their momentum faded when Castellanos doubled the advantage, finishing a slick move with Adam Marušić just before the break. Marušić was injured during the play and replaced by Elseid Hysaj.
After the interval, Genoa pushed hard and briefly thought they had a lifeline when awarded a penalty for handball, only for VAR to overturn the decision. Lazio sealed the win in the 65th minute as Luca Pellegrini’s dangerous free-kick caused a scramble, allowing Mattia Zaccagni to tap home from close range.
Cancellieri nearly netted a second late on but fired over, while keeper Ivan Provedel preserved the clean sheet with key stops from Mikael Egill Ellertsson and Lorenzo Colombo.
Lazio move up the Serie A table with the convincing win, while Genoa will regret missed chances.
