Manchester City moved to within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal after a commanding 3-0 win over Fulham, extending their extraordinary run to 20 straight victories in this fixture across all competitions.
Unbeaten in their last 55 midweek Premier League matches (W47, D8), Pep Guardiola’s side predictably began on the front foot, with Phil Foden twice threatening to open the scoring inside the first 10 minutes.
Their dominance eventually paid off in the 24th minute when a misplaced defensive header from Sander Berge fell kindly for Antoine Semenyo, who finished clinically for his 13th league goal of the campaign.
Fulham nearly hit back instantly, but Harry Wilson’s low strike was denied by Gianluigi Donnarumma — a pivotal save as City struck again soon after.
Semenyo turned provider on the half-hour, sliding a perfectly weighted pass into Nico O’Reilly, who kept his composure to slot past Bernd Leno.
With momentum firmly theirs, City grabbed a third before the interval as Erling Haaland rifled a trademark effort into the bottom corner from range.
Fulham who had scored in 13 of their previous 14 league games attempted to respond after the break, but Emile Smith Rowe and Raul Jimenez both failed to trouble the target.
City remained comfortable as the game entered the final half-hour, allowing Guardiola the luxury of rotating key players.
The contest eventually drifted to a close, with late Fulham pressure proving ineffective as City extended their unbeaten home league streak to 12 matches (W10, D2) and kept the pressure squarely on Arsenal at the top.
