Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai has been suspended for one match following a red card against Manchester City.
The Hungarian international was sent off in stoppage time of Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League defeat at Anfield for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity.
The dismissal occurred after a VAR review that also led to Rayan Cherki’s late goal being overturned. Szoboszlai had opened the scoring earlier in the match.
His suspension rules him out of Liverpool’s league fixture at Sunderland on Wednesday night. Liverpool are four points behind fifth-placed Chelsea in the table.
