Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique insisted his team fully deserved their emphatic 5-0 victory over rivals Olympique Marseille in Sunday’s Ligue 1 Classique.
The Spanish coach praised both the performance and the electric atmosphere after a one-sided display at the Parc des Princes.
“I think we deserved this victory,” Enrique said in his post-match interview with Ligue1+. “It’s a real pleasure to play this type of match, with this incredible atmosphere with the fans.”
Enrique also highlighted the growing connection between the team and its supporters. “Our fans have confidence in the team and we are happy, we want to continue,” he added.
The win reinforces PSG’s position at the top of Ligue 1 and marks one of their most commanding victories in the historic rivalry this season.
