Al-Hilal CEO Esteve Calzada has confirmed that Saudi Pro League officials are keen on signing Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior, although no direct talks are currently taking place with his club.
Speaking openly about the situation, Calzada revealed that Saudi Pro League head Omar Mugharbel has repeatedly expressed interest in pursuing the Brazilian star if the opportunity arises.
Calzada said: “In our case, there are no conversations, but the CEO of the Saudi Pro League, every time he’s asked, says that if he’s available, he’s going to try to bring him.”
Why Vinicius Is a Key Saudi Pro League Target
Vinicius has emerged as one of the marquee names on the Saudi Pro League’s radar ahead of a major overhaul planned for the summer of 2026. His profile and status at the top level of European football make him a standout target for the league’s long-term ambitions.
Vinicius Contract Situation at Real Madrid
Speculation around Vinicius’ future has also been fuelled by his contract situation. The Brazilian’s current deal runs until June 2027, and he is reportedly demanding a significant salary increase as part of any long-term extension.
Real Madrid are said to be resisting those demands, although club president Florentino Perez remains keen on retaining the winger.

What It Means Going Forward
Despite external interest and recent tension with supporters, Vinicius is reportedly leaning towards committing his future to Real Madrid. However, with Saudi interest ongoing and contract talks unresolved, his situation remains one to watch.
