N’Golo Kanté is close to completing a move to Fenerbahçe, with the transfer expected to be finalised in the coming hours barring any last-minute complications.
The 34-year-old midfielder is set to leave Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad and return to European football, with Fenerbahçe having already reached an agreement on personal terms with the French international. Kanté has also completed his medical earlier this year, clearing one of the final hurdles in the deal.

Why Fenerbahçe Want Kanté
Fenerbahçe view Kanté as an experienced addition capable of strengthening their midfield with leadership and defensive stability. Despite his age, the former Chelsea midfielder’s work rate and tactical discipline are seen as valuable assets as the Turkish side looks to compete domestically and in Europe.

En-Nesyri Heading to Al-Ittihad
As part of the agreement between the two clubs, Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri has terminated his contract with Fenerbahçe and is expected to sign for Al-Ittihad. The forward had been a key attacking figure for the Turkish club but will now begin a new chapter in the Saudi Pro League.
What the Deal Means for Both Clubs
The exchange allows Al-Ittihad to add a proven goalscorer to their squad, while Fenerbahçe secure a high-profile midfielder with top-level experience. If completed as expected, the deal would mark a significant reshuffle for both sides ahead of the new season.
