Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed captain Martin Ødegaard is missing tonight’s Carabao Cup semi-final as a precaution.
“During the Leeds game, he felt a little niggle. We tried yesterday, he wasn’t comfortable, so let’s see if he’s available for the weekend, hopefully,” Arteta explained.
Ødegaard came off the bench against Leeds, playing 29 minutes and providing an assist. His availability for Saturday’s Premier League match against Sunderland remains uncertain.
